Linux Install Install Linux on one of the servers in GCB 119. Then send email to don@colton.byuh.edu from your user account on the server you installed. The user account must bear your name. This can be done using the -c option of useradd, or by editing /etc/passwd, or in other ways. The email message must claim that you installed linux and should tell which server you are using. The message should be reply-ready. That is, when the instructor receives the message, he should be able to hit "reply" and have the message ready to go back to you. Usually this involves making sure you have the correct host name in your machine. This can be controlled by the linuxconf utility. For your mail to be delivered, you will need correct DNS settings, host information, routing (gateway) information, and maybe other things.
