Email Accounts In class, demonstrate that you have email working on your server. Tell what email accounts you have and what they are for. There should be an email account for each member of your team. It should be connected in such a way that mail sent to that address will be read by a real human within one business day. (Mail should not just sit there.) There should be email accounts for other important functions of your business. Traditional accounts would include the following, but your actual business situation may be different. postmaster - the person to email when there is a problem with email. This account is required (not merely suggested). abuse - the person to email when a customer of this ISP is violating the acceptable use rules, maybe by sending spam. sales - someone who can answer sales questions. support - someone who can answer support questions. These should also be connected to people, such that they are read within a business day. These particular accounts are just examples. What would be appropriate for your business? Demonstrate these accounts in class by sending email to each of them, and showing where the mail ends up. Tell why you picked the names you did. Ideally, have a web page of Contact Information on your eCommerce site, listing the email addresses that customers would normally want to use to get assistance. Connect each as a mailto: link. However, this is not required.
