I finished the grading for E1. You should be able to see your answers
and score as well as the answers and scores earned by others (but not
their names).

If you believe I made a mistake in grading, please email me with the
details.  It is not unusual for me to fix a grade if I graded it
wrong.

Scores have also been carried over into the semester grade book, where
they received a 10% bonus on the raw score.

Monday is a holiday, so there is no class that day. We will next meet
on Wednesday. That is the day when the first reading assignment is
due. It will also be a good opportunity for you to ask about any
things that were not clear to you.

Welcome to the IT 280 class for which you are enrolled this coming
semester.

I am pleased to announce that a preliminary syllabus is available. You

Good news. The textbook is free. You can download it from

The first reading assignment is to read chapters 1 through 4 by Jan 18
at the start of class (12:10 PM).  That is pages 9 through 34.  That
is 26 pages.  It should be pretty easy.

It would be great if you could reply to me with two pieces of
information.

(a) I have your preferred name as %pn%. Please let me know if that is
the name I should use for you, and if not please let me know the name
you would prefer.

(b) Please indicate whether you are willing to be called upon to say a
prayer in class. I generally do this by assignment, and each person
that is willing is usually called upon once or twice during the
semester.
